2012 PAPOR Conference
Sir Francis Drake Hotel, San Francisco
December 6-7, 2012
Stay tuned for information about the 2012 PAPOR Annual Meeting December 6/7 2012 in San Francisco. Registration will open by early September 2012. It's not too early to think about presenting and participation. Contact the conference chair for more information.

PAPOR welcomes submissions on the presentation of results from current survey, public opinion, and market research, and how these results shape public policy during unfavorable economic times. This includes submissions that focus on national and local efforts to stimulate the economy and reform health care. Proposals on any topic related to public opinion research, public policy formation, or efforts to advance survey research method will be considered. We encourage participation from all sectors engaged in public opinion and public policy research including academia, government, private sector, and non-profit. Undergraduate and Graduate student participation is highly encouraged.

Proposals for the conference should be submitted electronically by email to the 2010 PAPOR Conference Chair, Sarah Cho (Confchair@papor.org). Abstracts for papers and posters should be no more than 300 words. The submission window will open in September, 2012. Proposals should include complete contact information on all presenters including the name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address of each author and presenter.

Student Paper Competition

Students (Faculty - please encourage!) are encouraged to submit their paper for the Student Paper Competition. All winners receive recognition at the conference from the top public opinion scholars and professionals of PAPOR! Prizes include cash awards, travel expenses to the conference for the winner, and each student winner receives one year complimentary PAPOR membership.

Annual Conference Poster Session

We will once again have a poster session at our annual conference. In addition to hosting academic presentations from students, PAPOR members are encouraged to put together informal poster presentations about what they are currently working on. The goal of this session is to provide a forum where members can share what they are passionate about and learn about the great work other members are doing. More information will be provided as the conference date approaches, but start thinking about what you would like to share.
